Howard H. Sullivan, President, CEO
Howard H. Sullivan was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer for OIC of America, Inc. (OICA) in November 2008.
Mr. Sullivan is the son of the late Reverend Leon H. Sullivan, the beloved Founder of OIC of America. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he is committed to keeping his father’s domestic initiatives relevant to the future and continuing the organization’s successful legacy of self-help.
Mr. Sullivan worked and traveled extensively with his father and on his behalf in the United States, Europe and across Africa. While on extended assignments, he resided in Liberia, Zimbabwe and Nigeria. Before accepting the position with OIC of America, Mr. Sullivan was Executive Vice President for the Leon H. Sullivan Foundation.
Mr. Sullivan is the former Senior Vice President of Technology for GoodWorks International, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia, where he oversaw technological services for its Washington, New York, Atlanta and eight overseas offices. He also served as GoodWorks Senior Vice President of Business Development in Lagos, Nigeria. In that position he helped develop business opportunities and proposals for Nigeria and other African countries, providing consulting services to multinational and indigenous firms for their operations in Nigeria concerning community relations, technology and skills transfer, and information technology services.
He previously held positions with other Sullivan entities including Liberia Country Director and Senior Project Officer of the Schools for Africa Program for the International Foundation for Education and Self-Help (IFESH); and Director of Executive Office Projects, Regional Director of Information Services, and Special Projects Officer for OIC International (OICI).
Mr. Sullivan is a graduate of the Boston University School of Management where he earned his B.S. degree in Marketing, and his Master of Engineering in Manufacturing from the Boston University College of Engineering.
